Votes
When you upvote a tea, we add one to its count. To allow one vote per tea per day, up to 25 a day, we also store a one-way hash of your IP address with that tea, never the address itself. Both are kept in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The hashes expire within 2 days and are then deleted automatically. To show recent votes, we also keep the last 10 for a day: which tea and when, nothing about who voted. There are no accounts.
Feedback
If you send feedback, what you type goes to a private GitHub repository we use to track fixes, along with the page you were on and your browser's user agent (browser, version and operating system). Email is optional and only used to reply. A hash of your IP limits feedback to 5 a day and expires the same way. What you send stays in that repository unless you ask us to delete it, using the same form.
Bots and analytics
Our host, Vercel, checks that votes and feedback come from a real browser. Vercel Web Analytics counts visits using a hash of the request that's discarded after 24 hours, and doesn't follow you to other sites.
Cookies and your device
This site doesn't set cookies or save anything in your browser. Vercel may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn't a bot, and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to run and protect the site.
Sharing
We don't sell your information, run ads or use trackers. Only the services named here handle it. We don't track you across sites, so Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control have nothing to switch off.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13.
